Walking in West Wales

Opportunities for walking abound in this part of West Wales. We are on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains, close to Ceredigion’s Heritage Coastline and a short drive from the Brecon Beacons & the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

We have provided Ordnance Survey maps of the area and books and maps of local walks in both cottages for visitors to use. There are several maps of walks from the front door of the cottage.

Lampeter has its own Ramblers Club which welcomes visitors

In addition there are several walks published by Ceredigion County Council, and Carmarthenshire County Council, a selection of which are listed below:

There are also Walks at Dolaucothi Gold Mines to the south of Lampeter and in the Brechfa Forest at Brechfa and Abergorlech

Further afield, we are close to the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire National Parks, where there are many opportunities for walking.
