Walking in West Wales
Opportunities for walking abound in this part of West Wales. We are on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains, close to Ceredigion’s Heritage Coastline and a short drive from the Brecon Beacons & the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
We have provided Ordnance Survey maps of the area and books and maps of local walks in both cottages for visitors to use. There are several maps of walks from the front door of the cottage.
Lampeter has its own Ramblers Club which welcomes visitors
- The Aeron Valley Way - a new walk from Aberaeon to Lampeter along the banks of the Aeron river
- A Coastal Walk at Aberaeon which takes in the coast to the south of the town
- Lampeter-Alltgoch Walk - several beautiful walks through the woodland to the east of Lampeter in the Teifi and Dulas valleys. All the walks start from the centre of Lampeter
- Tresaith-Aberporth Walk - walks along the rocky coastline between Tresaith & Aberporth beaches
Further afield, we are close to the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire National Parks, where there are many opportunities for walking.
