WalkingOpportunities for walking abound in this part of West Wales. We are on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains and close to Ceredigion’s Heritage Coastline and a short drive to the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. We have provided Ordnance Survey maps of the area and books of local walks in both the cottages for visitors to use. There are several maps of walks from the front door of the cottage. Lampeter has its own Ramblers Club which welcomes visitors. In addition there are several walks published by Ceredigion County Council, and Carmarthen County Council, a selection of which are listed below: The Aeron Valley Way - a new walk from Aberaeon to Lampeter along the banks of the Aeron river A Coastal Walk at Aberaeon which takes in the coast to the south of the town Lampeter-Alltgoch Walk - several beautiful walks through the woodland to the east of Lampeter in the Teifi and Dulas valleys. All the walks start from the centre of Lampeter Tresaith-Aberporth Walk - walks along the rocky coastline between Tresaith & Aberporth beaches Also Walks at Dolaucothi Gold Mines to the south of Lampeter and in the Brechfa Forest at Brechfa and Abergorlech.
